CURRENT RESEARCH PROJECTS FOR TREATMENT AND USE OF BIOSOLIDS AT I.T. DURANGO.docx

<p>This paper aims towards presenting some projects that are currently being developed, under one of the research lines of the Masters of Environmental Systems program at ITD. Here in is presented a compilation of such projects, whose objective is the treatment and use of solid waste generated in wastewater treatment plants, both municipal and industrial, in which is expected to obtain feasible and viable materials and products that will be profitable for possible upscaling, with a cost reduction of the related processes, and even generation of income. These research projects are focused on the obtainment of cementing materials, biogas production for bioenergetics input, the application of a mathematical model to estimate the production of biogas and the increase of efficiency in reforestation. Their main goal is to stabilize and get a profit of solid waste to acquire a real value and to allow an increment of benefits at being managed properly.</p
